Fayose uncovers plans to increase pump rice

Governor Ayodele Fayose was at the designated fuel station to supervise the selling of the product at the controlled price of one forty-five naira per litre on Monday, December 25.

The governor while speaking to newsmen in Ado Ekiti, the state capital during the exercise, said the reason behind his action was to mitigate the effects of the fuel scarcity and to put smiles on the faces of the Ekiti people.

Governor Fayose, however, challenged the federal government to tell Nigerians the truth about the persistent fuel scarcity across the country, alleging the government has plans to increase the pump price of petrol from 145naira to 185naira

He also said the scarcity of fuel in the country has brought untold hardship on Nigerians.

Some of the residents of the state commended the governor for the gesture and urged him to continue to stand on the side of the masses.

According to governor Fayose, the sale of part of the petrol for the official use of the government of Ekiti state is a continuing exercise until the current fuel scarcity abates.
