The remains of the immediate past Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi will be interred on Sunday.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser Media to the former Governor, Ajimobi, Bolaji Tunji and made available to Correspondent Kunle Ojo in Ibadan, Ajimobi would be buried at the Oke-Ado central Mosque built by the late Governor.

Bolaji Tunji revealed that the arrangement is in close consultation with the governments of Lagos and Oyo state adding that the event would take place at 12 noon after traditional Muslim prayers.

According to him, in compliance with COVID-19 protocols and in light of the current circumstances of the national health challenges, the family appealed to the public to observe strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols in their participation.

He added that details of the live media coverage of the funeral ceremony would be made public soon.

The Media aide said in the near future, details of a larger funeral gathering would be announced where a lot more of his well-wishers will have the opportunity to pay him their respect.
