ADC Former Deputy National Chairman Rejects Mark, Aregbesola, and Others
A fresh leadership crisis has erupted in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the party’s Deputy National Chairman, Hon. Nafiu Bala, has declared himself the Interim National Chairman.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, Hon. Bala accused certain party leaders of engaging in what he described as “political hooliganism” and “a show of shame” that has plunged the party into a state of crisis and uncertainty.
According to Bala, the actions of some senior members who he claim have handed over the party’s structures to political outsiders are unconstitutional and an affront to the laid-down rules of the party.

He alleged that a group of “political strangers” had been installed in strategic positions, replacing duly elected officials in what he called a “shoddily rehearsed political melodrama.

He further vowed to challenge the “gross acts of impunity” in court if the alleged constitutional violations persist, insisting that the leadership transition processes in the party must follow the guidelines enshrined in the ADC constitution.

Bala also expressed deep regret at the current state of the party, lamenting what he described as an erosion of internal democracy and a disregard for due process.

Citing his position as the duly elected Deputy National Chairman, Bala declared that he was constitutionally empowered to assume the role of Interim National Chairman amidst the leadership vacuum.

He however called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take immediate notice of the development and act accordingly.
