The recent decision by some notable politicians across the country to aid the suffering workers in Osun state through the distribution of foodstuffs and some other necessities has been described as an insult on the workers in the state.

The immediate past chairman of the Nigeria Labour congress in Osun state, comrade Saka Adesiyan said this in Osogbo. The immediate past chairman of NLC in Osun state comrade Saka Adesiyan said as laudable as such a move is, however it is offensive to the state and its workers. 

Comrade Adesiyan said such statements are only ascribing the position of a refugee camp to the state with the state workers being indirectly seen as refugee and internally displaced persons in their own state.

He said stakeholders must set aside their political or close-minded tendencies and come together with one cause to rescue the ship of the state before it crashes adding that the problems of the state emanated from the global phenomenon which must be tackled with a global approach

it would be recalled that some notable Nigerians have been making approaches in recent times towards distribution of foodstuffs and other essentials to workers in state after several months of unpaid salaries by the state government.
