Makinde charges nursing council on professionalism

Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria has been charged on the need to ensure high-level professionalism among its members nationwide and curtail the activities of quacks in the profession. 


Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde who made the appeal while addressing members of the council in Ibadan emphasized the exemplary roles being played by nurses in the health sector stressing that the council should ensure regular training of its members. 

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that Makinde who was represented by the head of service in Oyo state, Alhaja Aminat Agboola charged nurses to key into various healthcare policies of the federal and state governments nationwide in order to promote qualitative healthcare services for Nigerians while the chairman, nursing and midwifery council of Nigeria, Dr. Bola Ofi declared the readiness of the council to curtail activities of quacks in the profession.
