Credit Facility: Court Set To Hear Access Bank Case Against Capital Oil
A Federal High court sitting in Abuja, will on February 11, 2013 hear the motion on notice to be filed against Capital Oil and Gas by Access Bank plc, following a disputed credit facility that led the Bank to obtain a forfeiture order from the United Kingdom to freeze the company's properties.
The adjournment was granted after parties in the matter met behind closed doors in chambers to fix date for hearing of the motion on notice.
Presiding Justice Abdu Kafarati had ordered Access Bank to domesticate the forfeiture order obtained from the UK by registering the case before a Nigerian court in other for it to be considered a legal instruction.
Speaking to Journalist after the chamber meeting, counsel to Capital Oil and Gas, Mr. Orji Nwafor-Orizu, said the court directed Access Bank to put his client on notice instead of coming by motion exparte.
