Eid-l-Maulud Celebration; 21 Killed In Jos
The relative peace that has been witnessed in Jos during the yuletide period and celebrated by all on the Plateau was cut short when communal crises broke out in Wase LGA of Jos south , claiming 21 lives according to official reports as at the time of filling this report .
Two indigenes of Wase who had gone missing for two days where later found dead with there bodies hid in the bush this led to a reprisal attack which has put the official figure of the dead so far on 21 .
As it is known plateau state has suffered from communal crises intensely since 2001 which has affected the economic development of the one time land of peace and tourism of the Nation.
Our correspondent contacted the spokes man of the Special Tasks Force Salisu Mustapha, on the matter, he said soldiers has been deployed to the area area to curtail the crises .
The new police commissioner to the state Chris Olakpe, said that men of his command has been deployed massively to Wase and its environs to prevent further escalation . Wase has been known as one of the most peaceful areas in Jos, with the last crisis there occurring in 2009 .
