NAUS Charges Buhari on Funding of Education.
Students under the umbrella of the National Association of University Students have appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to abide by the directive of UNESCO on funding education.
The aggrieved students who took to the streets of Ibadan in continuation of their end Asuu Strike agitation converged on the federal secretariat, Ikolaba with placards of various inscriptions.
Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the protesters accused the government at the center of playing politics with their future noting that the government is capable of acceding to the request by members of Academic Staff Union of Universities.
They described the ongoing Asuu Strike as unpalatable noting that the investment of their parents is gradually going down the drain.
The students urged all well-meaning Nigerians to prevail on both the Federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities to reach an agreement and open the institutions for them to continue with their academic activities. They vowed to continue with the protest until the ongoing strike by Asuu is suspended.
