Insecurity: Governor Diri Urges Bayelsans to Be At Alert
Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri has urged all Bayelsans to be security conscious at all times stating that the insecurity challenges of the country are worrisome and as such citizens should not relent while collaborating with security agencies working in the state.
The Governor made the remarks at the Government House in Yenagoa, the state capital, during the executive council meeting.
Addressing members of the state executive council, the Bayelsa state governor said security should not be left for security agents alone.
He further stated that the Urban renewal policy of the state government is to give Yenagoa the state capital a facelift and not to witch hunt anyone. .
Our correspondent reports that the state executive council also held a minute of silence in Honor of the Late Chief of Army Staff and other Military officers who lost their lives during a plane crash in Kaduna.
