Delta Police Command Foils Cult Initiation, Arrest Suspects
The Delta state police command have foiled what was supposed to be an initiation of members by a cult group Aiye confraternity, while also arresting some suspects at Onicha-Ugbo community in Aniocha North local government area of the state.
According to the Delta police public relations officer Edafe Bright, the command acting on intelligence gathering which led to combing the community bushes by Anti-cult unit, arrested ten male suspects with others escaping into the bush.
Items recovered from the suspects include one locally made revolver pistol with four live and one expended ammunition.
A Honda car, five motorcycles substance suspected to be weed and a bag of clothes were also among items recovered at the scene.
The police spokesman assured of their commitment in maintaining peace and securing lives and properties of the citizen's.
