55-Year-Old Man Caught with Four Human Skulls, Hands in Ogun
Police in Ogun State has arrested a 55-year-old man, Yesiru Salisu for allegedly being in possession of four human skulls, two dry human hands and three jaws.
Salisu who resides at number 7, Odenusi street Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North LGA, was arrested following a report lodged at Ago-Iwoye division.
It was reported that a man was seen with a bag suspected to contain stolen property, and when he was challenged, he dropped the bag and ran into the bush.
The Spokesman of the Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi said following the report the DPO of Ago-Iwoye, CSP Paul Omiwole led his detectives to the scene where they opened the bag and discovered that it contains dry human parts.
Oyeyemi said the operatives combed the bush he ran into and subsequently apprehended him.
He said the suspect when interrogated confessed to having harvested them from a cemetery at Ijebu-Ode.
Oyeyemi quoted the commissioner of police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun to have ordered the immediate transfer of the case to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
The CP was also quoted to have directed that the fleeing accomplice should be hunted for and brought to justice.
