Oyo inaugurates committee on LAUTECH

Oyo State Government has tasked the newly inaugurated five-man committee on Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to secure a divorce between the two owner state of Oyo and Osun.

Governor Seyi Makinde who gave the charge while inaugurating the committee at the council chamber of the Governor's office explained that it had become obvious that the alliance of ownership between both states could not work.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the Governor maintained that it would be unfair to allow students, lecturer, management and business concerns link to the University to continue to suffer.

On his part, the Chairman of the committee, Prof. Deji Omole assured that the committee would discharge the task and mandate with integrity and courage as well as ensure that fact and figure form the basis for their report.

While directing the committee to come up with a preliminary report within four weeks,  the Governor stressed that Oyo state bears no grudge against Osun but to achieve the dreams of LAUTECH, joint ownership would be a militating factor.

The committee comprises Professor Ayodeji Omole, Bolaji Ayorinde, Professor Oyelowo Oyewo, Professor Dawud Sangodoyin, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide
