Youths under the umbrella body of the host communities producing oil and gas in Nigeria have taken to the streets of Warri and Uvwie local government areas of Delta state, in a solidarity rally for President Muhammadu Buhari.

The protesters said they were in support of the Buhari-led administration and the National president of HOSTCOM Dr. Mike Emuh.

 The youths armed with placards of different inscriptions and led by its state and National president, were singing solidarity songs as they were joined by the oil communities president.

 Speaking on the solidarity rally as vehicular traffic build up along the way, the National president of Host communities in Nigeria producing oil and Gas Dr. Mike Emuh call on the youths to always maintain peace.

 On their part, the National Youth president and his Delta counterpart thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the pipeline surveillance contract, while the HOSTCOM National president promised an enabling environment.

 The solidarity rally by the youths from the nine Niger Delta states is coming less than two days after some militant groups threatened to resume hostilities in the Niger Delta, while the rally could be seen as dousing the tension in the region.
