Mixed Reaction Trails Proposed Tricycles Ban on Delta Highway
Mixed reactions have continued to trail the proposed ban on commercial tricycles along the Warri/Agbarho expressway on the East/West road axis in Delta state.
This is coming as more commercial tricycles continue to ply the busy expressway over what they described as the increase in the unemployment rate in the state.
Some commercial tricycle operators who ply the busy highway on a daily basis for passengers call on the government to provide alternative means of livelihood for them.
A member of the Delta Task-Force said it is a welcome development as a resident said it will help check accidents on the highway.
The Delta state government had warned commercial tricycle operators to stay clear of highways in the state, but the majority of them still operate in major highways despite the warning.
