Militants threaten to bomb oil pipelines

Militants group under the umbrella body of the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers(RNDA)have threatened to wreak havoc on oil installations if President Muhammadu Buhari or those they referred to as cabals in the presidency sack the current Amnesty Boss Professor Charles Dokubo and replace him with an ally of wanted ex-militant leader Tompolo.

In a statement made available to Galaxy news and signed by a self-styled General Johnmark Ezonebi, the group threatened that any attempt to bring Mr. Dennis Otuaro, who is the younger brother of Delta deputy Governor Kingsley Otuaro as the next amnesty boss will be met with brutal force.

They argued that it was the RNDA made up of nine militant groups in the creeks that accepted the federal government ceasefire agreement for peace and worked hard for the president’s emergence and that any gang-up will lead to crippling the oil sector despite the presence of military personnel patrolling the waterways.

The group also warned that its strike force are monitoring activities of the Navy and soldiers in protecting pipelines, as that will not hinder its plan of bombing the facilities should the president yield to the blackmail of removing Professor Charles Dokubo whom they see as an apostle for peace in the Niger Delta.

When contacted, the Nigerian Army Deputy Public Relations Officer Colonel Aminu iliyasu said no official statement have been released regarding the threat, but said that anyone trying to attack National assets will meet the full resistance of the military who patrols the facilities round the clock.
