Family of murdered trader calls for help

The families of the late trader, Ifeyinwa Obalum murdered in cold blood at Amaezike community are still in pains over the demise of their breadwiner.


Ifeyinwa was murdered on April 7, 2017, at Amaezike community in Mbaku Awka north local government of Anambra state.

The deceased who left behind her blind husband and four children was the one catering for the family until her departure.

When Galaxy news visited the scene of the incident,  wraps of paps were still found scattered on the ground in front of Nwabueze's house( the accused murder); a clear indication that he attacked the woman while hawking paps.

The family members who were still in shock also expressed worries over what would be their fate.

Though Nwabueze’s house was burnt down by angry mob,  when given closer looks, our correspondent discovered the house has virtually all what right thinking human home needs; defeating the claim in some quarters that the alleged perpatrator might be insane.

Nkwo Nnabuchi, one of the leaders in the community however, called for the support of  well-meaning Nigerians for the family to enable thefamily meet the demands of life.

He further lamented frequent killing of women in the community by youths.

Speaking further, the former law maker and leader in the community advised that mentally derailed person should not be allowed to roam even if they appear to be sane.

When ask how he will cope with the departure of his wife and the upkeep of himself and that of the children, the widower, Renard Obalum could barely speak; he was shedding tears.
