Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has assured residents of their safety along the troubled Idi-Ayunre/Ijebu Ode highway.

The Governor who gave the assurance during an inspection of the border between Oyo and Ogun States said adequate security is now in place on the highway to combat activities of kidnappers on the highway.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the Governor commanded the state police command and other sister security agencies for their efforts and called for more support from the people.

On the essence of security equipment on the border town, Makinde said this will further assist the state in combating the activities of criminals in the axis.
