Delta community residents lament epileptic power supply
One month after waiting endlessly for the power distribution company BEDC to restore power in their community, residents of Marine quarters community in Warri South local government area of Delta state have called on the federal government to revoke the licence of the firm if they cannot provide power.
This is coming after several protests against the company on the epileptic power supply fail to yield the desired result.
Expressing his displeasure, a community youth leader said businesses which depend on power are folding up.
A printer of books and a welder who depend on power for their business lament the high cost of powering generators.
Meanwhile, despite a series of repair works being carried out according to the BEDC in restoring power to affected communities, people continue to pay for darkness with estimated billing on a monthly basis.
