Frank Mba New Assistant Commissoner Of Police
The Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, has been decorated with a new rank as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) by the Inspector-General of Police (IG), Mohammed Abubakar. the event took place yesterday.
Mba was formerly a Chief Superintendent of Police.
Mba studied law at the University of Lagos, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2002. The police spokesman, who hails from Ezimo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was the best graduating cadet inspector in academics at the Police Academy, Kano, in 1993.
He rose up the police ladder and was promoted to assistant superintendent of police in 1999, deputy superintendent of police in 2003, superintendent of police in 2006 and chief superintendent of police in 2012. He was the substantive police public relations officer, Lagos State police command, from 2007 to 2011.
Other senior officers were decorated with new ranks at the ceremony.
While congratulating the newly-promoted officers, the IG used the opportunity to emphasise the need for greater commitment to the current fight against terrorism and all forms of crimes and criminality.
He charged the officers to justify their elevation by rededicating themselves to their core mandate and the advancement of the positive image of the force.
